Post : Postdoctoral position concerning organ-on-a-chip to recapitulate pulmonary and vascular diseases

The Ahsan laboratory at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Pharmacy in Amarillo, Texas, has an opening for a postdoctoral position that centers around a project on organ-on-a-chip, tissue engineering and bioprinting with an anticipated start date in May 2020.

The candidate should have a PhD in organ-on-a-chip, microfluidics, tissue engineering, bioprinting, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines and must have an excellent writing skill in English. A well-rounded candidate should have first-authored publications in high impact journals demonstrating his/her hands-on experience in relevant laboratory techniques such as on-chip cultures and cellular/molecular biological techniques, manuscript and grant writing. Hands-on experiences in bio- and 3D-printing, animal handling, chip design, fabrication and on-chip culture and a doctoral or postdoctoral training at an institute in the United States will be a plus.

An exceptionally qualified candidate who has most of the above skills, especially chip design/fabrication, on-chip cell culture, and cellular biology will receive an annual salary of $50,000-60,000 plus fringe benefits and may be sponsored for an H1B visa, if needed.
