Openings for Pharmacists at Municipal Corporation

Applications are invited online from eligible candidates who fulfill the educational qualification and other conditions of the posts as mentioned in the advertisement to fill the vacant posts in various categories in Group-C and Group-D in the establishment of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation through direct service recruitment process.  The posts in the advertisement are in the administrative, engineering, technical, accounting and finance, horticulture, public health, para-medical etc. services. 

Post : Pharmacist / Drug Manufacturing Officer, (Group-C)

Pay Scale S-10 : 29200-92300. 
No of posts : 12

Educational Qualifications:-
a) B.Pharm degree from a recognized university.
b) Registration Certificate of Maharashtra Pharmacy Council Valid registration certificate as per Maharashtra Pharmacy Act, 1948 (8 of 1948) is required.
c) 2 years of work experience in the relevant subject is required.
d) Knowledge of Marathi language is required.

Age Limit
The candidate should be within the age limit specified below as on 11/05/2025.  
a) For unreserved (open) category candidates  - Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years
b) For backward category candidates  Minimum 18 years and maximum 43 years
c) Age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for backward category candidates working in regular establishments of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and up to 45 years for open category candidates.
d) Age limit is relaxed for employees working on contract basis in establishments of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.


Examination Fee :-
Open Category : Rs. 1000/-
Backward Category and Orphan Category : Rs. 900/- 
The date, time and centre of the examination will be mentioned in the admit card.  
Information regarding possible changes will be published on the website of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation nmmc.gov.in from time to time.  Details regarding the method of applying online etc. and to apply online should be visited on the website of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Also, details regarding the posts to be filled up by category, details of the posts, pay scale, age limit/age relaxation, selection method, all general instructions, terms and conditions, educational qualifications, social and parallel reservation as well as provisions regarding reservation, syllabus of online examination by post, examination fee, guidelines for filling the application etc are available on the website nmmc.gov.in.

General Instructions
1. There is a possibility of increase, decrease or change in the number of posts and reservations mentioned above.
2. Before submitting an application online for a post in the above-mentioned cadre, candidates should ensure that they fulfill the qualifications/conditions prescribed for the post for which they are applying and are eligible for the said post.
3. To apply online, the candidate must have a valid e-mail ID and mobile number that is in regular use. Since the admit card of the recruitment process examination and other information will be provided online from time to time, the said e-mail ID must remain valid throughout the entire recruitment process.
4. Since all highly qualified candidates (including Backward Class candidates) are considered for unreserved (open) posts, it is mandatory for all candidates to accurately mention their original caste category in the application, even if the post is not reserved/available for their category.
5. The application should be submitted only after carefully reviewing all the instructions given in the advertisement/notification of the relevant post/examination. Eligibility will be considered only on the basis of the information given in the application and the selection process will be completed on the basis of it.
6. The candidate who has submitted the application will be allowed to appear for the examination on the basis of preliminary scrutiny. Therefore, even if the candidate passes the examination, he will not be eligible for selection unless he has the necessary educational and other qualifications for the relevant post and without fulfilling the necessary documents. Candidates will not get any right to selection just by passing the examination. Therefore, candidates should apply after studying the eligibility conditions.
7.  If there is any change in the name of the female candidates (name before marriage and name after marriage), it will be mandatory to submit the necessary documents such as marriage registration certificate, gazette notification.
8. For correspondence, the address of the candidate should be written in English. The address of any guidance center/institution of vocational guidance center, self-study guidance center/class or any similar guidance center/institution should not be given for correspondence.
9. If any documents are found suspicious during the verification of the information given in the application and the original documents or if there is a difference between the information in the submitted documents and the information in the original application, the information filled in the application will be considered false. As per the requirement, the original educational/other documents will be verified with the concerned educational university/institution. Also, if the candidate is unable to submit documentary evidence regarding the information in the application, the candidate's selection will be cancelled.
10. Age, Educational Qualification, Backward Class/Creamy Layer Certificate, Disabled, Female, Ex-Serviceman: Unemployed, Project-affected.
11. Candidates who have already registered their names with the Employment and Self-Employment Guidance Center, Employment Office/Social Welfare/Tribal Development Project Officer/District Sainik Board/Disabled Welfare Office etc., will also be required to apply online separately. Also, candidates coming under parallel reservation like project-affected, part-time etc. will be required to submit their applications online separately.
12. It is necessary to possess the relevant educational qualification/experience as per the last date given for submission of applications as per the present advertisement.
13. The calculation of the period of experience should be completed before submitting the application as per the present advertisement.
14. The Hon. Municipal Commissioner and Hon. Selection Committee will have the right to decide the nature of the selection process considering the number of applications received.
15. The candidate must do the registration and application filling process himself.
16. Although the application form is made available in Marathi and English, it is necessary to fill the application in English for computer processing. The full name and complete address should be mentioned without abbreviations or initials. A space should be left between the two parts of the name / address.
17. The application should be filled as per the name on the S.S.C. or similar certificates. If the name has changed after that or if there is any change in the name on the certificate, the prescribed certificate / document regarding the change should be submitted at the time of verification.
18.  The candidate must submit original and attested copies of all documents such as school leaving certificate, birth certificate, domicile certificate, mark sheets and certificates of educational qualifications mentioned in the qualification, typing certificate of Marathi and English language with prescribed speed and MSCIT certificate of computer knowledge, caste certificate issued by a competent authority for backward class candidates, caste validity certificate, and latest certificate for all other backward class candidates except SC and ST categories stating that they do not fall under the advanced and advanced group, etc., as well as attested copies of certificates as per the government decision if the candidate has been selected under parallel reservation.
19. The application should be submitted after carefully reviewing all the instructions given in the advertisement/notification of the relevant post/examination. Eligibility will be tested only on the basis of the information given in the application and the selection process will be completed on the basis of that.
20.  The appointing authority reserves the right to postpone, cancel, partially modify the said examination, change the total number of posts.

Last date and time for submitting the application online and paying the examination fee online : Date 11/05/2025 till 11.55 pm 
• The examination fee paid online along with the online application will not be refunded to the candidate under any circumstances.

• The candidate will have to pay other bank charges while paying the online fee himself, a photocopy of the said e-receipt must be submitted along with the admission at the time of online examination.
•  In case of deliberate false information in the application or concealment of true information or alteration in it or unauthorized tampering with the records of certificates sent or submission of tampered or fake certificates, misconduct in the examination hall, copying during the examination, trying to cheat or any other misconduct outside the examination hall or even after the examination, the candidates who commit such misconduct will be penalized, disqualified from specific or all examinations or selections. The Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation shall have the right to impose appropriate punishment on the case and take appropriate action in accordance with the prevailing laws and rules. Also, a candidate who does not fulfill the conditions of the prescribed eligibility or misbehaves will be ineligible for selection at any stage. Also, he/she will be liable to termination of service even after selection.
•   Birth certificate issued by a competent authority, school leaving certificate, Secondary (SSC) examination pass certificate, certificate issued by a competent authority from the Government regarding age and domicile will be accepted.
•    The necessary information regarding educational qualifications should be mentioned in the order given. The date on the mark sheet of the relevant examination will be considered as the date of possession of the educational qualification and the eligibility of the candidate will be decided on the basis of that.
If there is a grade system instead of marks, the grade list should be submitted along with the mark sheet.
