NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
Post : Project Associate I (1 Position)
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title : Elucidating the role of Cdk-related kinases (Crk7, Crk9, and Crk11) mediating transcript maturation in the asexual developmental stages of Toxoplasma gondii”.
PI : Dr. Abhijit Deshmukh.
Tenable upto : One year.
Essential Qualification : Master degree in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Microbiology, etc.) from a recognised university or equivalent.
Experience : Candidates with prior experience in molecular parasitology and molecular biology techniques involving gene cloning and protein purification will be preferred.
Fellowship amount : Rs. 31000 + 24% HRA(if applicable) candidates NET or GATE or undergone a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions and 25,000/- + HRA (if applicable) for others who do not have NET or GATE as per the DST guidelines.
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
