All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education. The Institute has comprehensive facilities for teaching, research and patient-care. As provided in the Act, AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees. Teaching and research are conducted in 42 disciplines.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the CONTRACTUAL post for ICMR funded research project entitled “Deciphering the role of platelets in drug-resistant epilepsy” at the Department of Biophysics, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Duration : 3 years
Salary : As per ICMR guidelines
Eligibility : Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in the professional course. Candidate should have any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC, NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) Candidate who has passed National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MIIRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, USER etc.
Desirable : Experience in the field of Molecular & Cellular Neuroscience.
Age : up to 30 years
