Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1916, through close cooperation with great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was established by the Parliamentary legislation-B.H.U. Act 1915.
Post : Research Fellow under Bridge Grant, IoE, BHU
Applications are invited for one post of Research Fellow with a fellowship amount of Rs 31,000/ p.m. (No HRA), to work under Bridge Grant under Institution of Eminence Scheme, BHU sanctioned for a period of 12 months. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the Scheme.
Essential Qualifications : The candidate should have M.Sc. degree in Botany / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks and NET (JRF/LS)/ GATE qualified. The upper age limit is 28 years at the time of interview with 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Females and 3 years for OBC (non creamy candidates. The candidates with experience in the area of Fungal Diversity QR related field will he preferred. All qualifications being equal, SC/ST candidates will be given preference as per the GOI rules.
