Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).
Post : Young Professional-ll (YP II)
Applications are invited to fill up one post of Young Professional-ll (YP-II) in the project/Scheme entitled: "ICAR- 136: Livestock and Poultry Products Safety”. The Emoluments, essential qualifications & edibility conditions and job responsibilities for the post are as under
Emolument : Rs. 42000/- per month (Fixed)
Essential Qualifications and Eligibility Condition :-
1. B.V.Sc & A.H /B.V.Sc/ B.Sc Life Sciences / B.Pharma with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.V.Sc in any Veterinary subject preferably in Veterinary Public Health/M.Sc. Life Sciences/M. Pharmacy with a minimum OCPA of 6.5/10.00 basis or 65% marks.
3. Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. The condition of knowledge in Punjabi is however relaxable if the candidate is found otherwise deserving.
Other Conditions :
1. Preference will be given to candidate having experience of working on chromatography, residue detection techniques. '
2. The candidate should be capable of extensive travelling and collecting samples throughout Punjab state.
Age Limit : 21 years and maximum 45 years (as on date of application), which is relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Women candidates.
Job Responsibilities
1. To collect, process and analysis the food samples using chromatography techniques.
2. Data collection, data entry and survey.
3. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by P.I.
The post is purely temporary and the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The initial appointment will be for six months and will be extended subject to satisfactory performance. The incumbent will have no right what so ever for absorption in the regular university service. The applications on the prescribed profroma (attached) along with self-attested photocopy of certificates & first page of research paper etc. should reach in the office of Centre For One Health on or before 17.01.2025 upto 4:30 p.m. The candidates may appear for the interview along with all related documents in original in the office of Director, Centre for One Health on 20.01.2025 at 11 a.m. Incomplete applications or unsupported by the requisite documents will not be considered. No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and no separate letter for the interview will be issued.
