Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India.This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the following post under the SERB research project.

Project title: “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy versus Steroids for optimizing the conventional therapy of chronic spontaneous urticaria: a single blinded, factorial randomized controlled trial - CoBeTS trial”

Duration: Time bound for a period of 1 year (likely to continue beyond 1 year)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/MLT/ Life Sciences/ B.Tech. (Biotechnology)/ M.Tech. (Biotechnology)

Desirable: Candidates with GATE/National Entrance Test (NET) qualification for JRF or equivalent qualification and/or experience in clinical research and hands-on experience in immunological techniques will be preferred.

Age limit: Upper age limit 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be extended as per SERB rules

Salary: As per rules of SERB, New Delhi.

The walk-in interview will be held on 31st January 2019 at 9.30 AM in the chamber of the undersigned in the Department of Skin & STD.
