The National Institute of Immunology is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in body's defence to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases and understand mechanisms that can be used to target disease processes for intervention.

Post : Senior Research Fellow (Project) or Junior Research Fellow (Project) or Project Associate-I (One position only)

Applications are invited for the one position of Senior Research Fellow (Project) or Junior Research Fellow (Project) or Project Associate-I for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below.

Name of the project & Duration of the Project : “Deciphering how RICTOR/TORC2 regulates one-carbon metabolism to modulate longevity depending on diet containing different Vitamin B12 content” funded by SERB Tenable till – 27.06.2026

Educational Qualifications :
Senior Research Fellow/Junior Research Fellow : M.Sc./M.Tech degree in any area of Life Sciences with good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have cleared any National Level Eligibility test such as (NET/GATE etc.) to be considered for JRF or SRF. Otherwise, they will be considered for Project Associate-I position. SRF candidates should have at least two years of research experience. Hands-on experience in molecular biology (cloning, RNA isolation, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting), cell culture, microbiology is required.

Job description : Preference will be given to candidates
• with experience in handling C-elegans, Drosophila or other model organisms, and/or
• with experience in bioinformatics and data analysis (knowledge of Python, R, NGS, single-cell, data analysis etc.)

Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience
Senior Research Fellow : Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
Junior Research Fellow : Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
Project Associate-I : Rs. 25,000/- per month plus 24% HRA (As per DST OM dated 10.07.2020)

General Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
6. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
7. The Interviews will be held in offline/online mode.
