Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (one position only)

Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical) position in a ICMR funded project entitled “Development of multitargeted adamantyl analogous for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease” at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPTM), SVKM’s NMIMS University, Shirpur Campus, Maharashtra. The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for the Ph.D. according to NMIMS University rules.

Project Title : Development of multitargeted adamantyl analogous for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease
Funding Agency :  Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Salary : Rs. 56,000/-p.m + HRA (@9%)
Duration of Project : 3 years

Essential Educational qualifications :  M.Pharm / MS/ MSc in Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Organic chemistry or equivalent
Desirables Qualification and Experience : • GPAT/GATE/NET qualified candidates will be preferred.
• Candidate having experience in multi-step organic synthesis, in-silico drug design will be given preference. Experience or basic knowledge in in vitro cell culture and fundamental knowledge of chemical biology principles will be preferred.


Job Profile : The primary focus areas of the project are :
1. Synthesis, purification and characterization of heteroaromatic molecules.
2. In silico, In vitro and In vivo assays and lead refinement. 3. Writing project progress reports and manuscripts
