The National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (NBFGR) was established in December 1983 in a rented premises at Allahabad under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research to undertake research related to the conservation of fish germplasm resources of the country. The Bureau’s permanent infrastructure was developed at Canal Ring Road, Telibagh, Lucknow, U.P in 1999 comprising an administrative block, laboratories, farm and residential complex covering an area of 52 acres. The Institute's vision is assessment and conservation of fish genetic resources for intellectual property protection, sustainable utilization and posterity.

A walk-in-interview schedule on 12th February, 2018 from 10:00 hrs. onwards at ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow for the post of Research Associate (01 No.) under NAIF funded scheme “Intellectual Property Management and Transfer/Commercialization of Agricultural Technology scheme (Up-scaling existing components i.e. Intellectual Property Right) on contractual basis under at ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow.
Eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements may appear for the interview with duly filled in application giving full details of academic records and experience(s) along with attested photocopy as well as original copy of the relevant documents and a passport size photograph on the attached proforma.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 40,000/-+HRA
Age : 40 years for male and 45 year for female candidates as on the date of interview (relaxation as per GOI rules)
Qualification :
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. or Professional Master’s degree or Master Degree with NET and 02 years of research experience in Life Science or Technology Management/Intellectual Property Rights/Bioinformatics or related disciplines.
Desirable:
• PG Diploma/Certificate in IPR
• Expertise in patent search tools and software’s
• Able to manage IP, organizing workshop, awareness programme, create knowledge material related to creativity, innovation and capacity building in IPR
• Excellent documentation, reporting and analytical skills

1. Above positions are purely temporary, and initially up to 31.03.2018 may be terminated by the Director, ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow without assigning any reasons at any stage. The same can be extended on half yearly basis on candidate’s every 06-monthly performance assessment and fund availability. In any case the maximum tenure will be upto the approved duration of the project by the funding agency.
2. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for interview who fulfill all the eligibility conditions.
3. All the eligible candidates appearing for interview should bring their coloured passport size photograph and all the original certificates along with self attested photocopies in support of their educational qualification/experience at the time of interview.
4. Place of work will be at ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in Interview.
6. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of Interview for necessary formalities.
7. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
8. The selection will be based on Academic Performance, Research Experience and performance in interview.
9. The decision of Director, ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow will be final and binding in all aspects.
