CSMCRI with much scientific excitement has now achieved technological excellence with several granted patents in the core mandate of the institute and is one among the top performing national R&D laboratories in the country. Principal Investigator : Dr. Ankush Biradar, Pri. Scientist (CSIR-CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, Gujarat
Essential Qualification(s) : M.Sc. in Chemistry.
Desirable : CSIR-UGC NET (LS) / GATE / MSC in organic / inorganic chemistry, Material synthesis and knowledge of catalysis.
Fellowship : i) Rs 31000/- + HRA for the scholars who are selected through (a) national eligibility tests CSIR-UGC NET including LS or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25000/- +HRA for those who do not fall in (i) above
Age : Maximum 28 years for Junior research fellow or 35 years for project associate-I as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.
Duration of the project : This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The post is purely temporary for the total duration of five years in any sponsored project/scheme. Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. The initial appointment is for one year.
Job Description : Selected candidate will work on SERB funded project entitled: “Designing Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Multifunctional Catalysts for Tandem Hydroformylation of Olefins.”. The main objective of this project is to synthesize various ligands and heterogeneous multifunctional based catalysts and carry out tandem hydroformylation reactions.
