Vacancy for Project Staff under externally funded Projects at IITR

The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR - Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Project wise vacancy positions, date of Interview and qualification details are us under :

Project Associate-I
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Chemistry.
Job description : Analysis of water samples, Report preparation, Knowledge of statistical tools.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 25,000/-+HRA per month as per rule.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-406 “Assessment of groundwater samples monitoring & mapping the quality of grountwater resources.”
Senior Project Associate
Essential Qualification : M.Sc / M.Tech in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Science with 4 years of Research experience of OR Doctoral degree in life science/Environmental science. OR Doctoral Degree in life science.
Job description : Water analysis, report preparation, data analysis water treatment, Biomeditation.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 42,000/- + HRA.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-402 “Assessment of groundwater quality through samples collected from piezometers & monitoring wells.”
Project Associate II
Essential Qualification : M.Sc / M.Tech. (Biotechnology/Env. Micro./Microbiology) with 2 years research experience.
Job description : Water & waste water treatment, Bioremediation, Data analysis.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 28,000/- + HRA per month
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : GAP-406 “Assessment of groundwater samples for monitoring & mapping the quality of groundwater resources.”

Project Associate I
Essential Qualification : Master degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology.
Job description : Knowledge in fermentation & Bioprocess technology.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 25,000/-+HRA
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : HCP512401 “Value addition in castor: product, process & senior development.”
Project Assistant
Essential Qualification : (i) B.Sc.(PCM)+ Minimum 2 years Experience in relevant field
Job description : Experience in carrying out sampling and analysis of air and water samples.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 20,000/- + HRA Increment of 15 % for 3 years of experience with maximum ceiling of 4 revisions i.e. upto 12 years.
Upper Age Limit : 50 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-465 “Third party testing & monitoring of stack emission, ambient AI and water at Anpara thermal Power station.”

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions
1. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
2. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
3. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. No correspondence will be entertained through any medium regarding the advertisement.
9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
