Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.
Post : Senior Project Associate (01 Post)
Project Title : “Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders” (Funded by DBT)
Principal Investigator : Dr. P V Ramchander
Emoluments : Rs. 42,000/- + 16% HRA per month
Essential Qualifications : Master's Degree with 1st class in Life Sciences or Computational Biology / Bachelor's degree in Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. (OR) Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Experience in Genomics/cytogenetics/NGS wet-lab & data analysis and tools & techniques used in human genetic research. Nature of the work: Handling of biological samples, cataloging, isolation of DNA/RNA, MLPA/Sanger Sequencing, NGS library preparation and sequencing, data analysis, variant interpretation, report writing and manuscript preparation.
Age Limit : The candidate should be below 40 years in age, as on 27.08.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.
Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
