Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India’s knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

1) Please refer to section 3.4 in the Admission handbook 2024-2025 (Page No. 190-199) for eligibility criteria and other realted information regarding all the above mentioned programs. Admission Handbook is available on ictmumbai.edu.in . Please click on Academic and then Admissions tabs. Candidates are requested to refer to Chapter
3 “Programmes of Study and Eligibility Criteria" prior to making an application.
2) Fees for submission of a single form for a particular programme at ICT is Rs. 1000/- for Open category students and Rs. 500/- for Reserved category students. Fees for reserved candidate is applicable for candidates from state of Maharashtra only. Payment of this fee should be made online (extra online charges may apply)
3) Direct Ph.D. (Tech.) programmes are offered in limited branches only. Please refer the Admission Handbook 2024-2025 (Page No. 190-199).
4) The mere submission of an application form does not guarantee admission. To become eligible for admission to these programmes , the candidates will have to qualify entrance examination conducted by Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Subject to availability of fellowships. The syllabus for Ph.D. (Tech.) / Ph.D (Science) entrance examination for various programmes for the academic year 2024-25 is available on ICT website ictmumbai.edu.in
5) Schedule regarding ICT entrance examination for these programmes will be displayed on ICT website in the month of August 2024. Applicants are requested to visit ICT website from time to time related to updates regarding this.
6) For more information, candidates shall refer to Handbook 2024-2025 on ICT website http://ictmumbai.edu.in. The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID is mandatory for submission of Application from AY 2024-25 for all programmes. Please visit abc.gov.in/ for creating ABC ID, if you do not have one already.
7) It is the responsbility of the applicant to check eligibility criteria, validity of required documents and other requirements, before registration and payment of application fee.
8) Applicants must register freshly for admissions 2024-25. Any queries related to use of previous registration details will not be entertained at all.
9) For any queries candidates are requested to write email on admission@ictmumbai.edu.in only. No WhatsApp inquiries or phonecalls to any of the admission staff will be entertained.
10) Note for AICTE Doctoral Fellowship candidates (ADF) : Please read the Revised Guidelines for AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) 2024-25 for eligibility and other criteria for admission to Ph.D.under ADF scheme. You need not apply separately for ADF scheme. Only one application is required.
11) We will strictly follow the revised guidelines with respect to eligible programmes and eligibility criteria for admission via ADF route.
Online application forms will be available from 25th August 2024 on ictmumbaiadm.samarth.edu.in/ Last date of submitting online application is 20th September 2024. Schedule regarding ICT entrance examination for these programmes will be displayed on ICT website in the month of September 2024. Applicants are requested to visit ICT website from time to time related to updates regarding this.
NOTE : There will be single application form for all the three campuses. Separate application forms must be filled for different programmes.
