The history of Jajpur dates back to the prehistoric times. The name Jajpur itself a testimony to this. Some scholars attribute it to the word Yajnapura , while others opine that the name originated from Jajatipura Sasanas in Jajpur area. Jajati is also said to have made Jajatipur as his capital and renamed the city as Jajapura. King Jajati, it is said, had organized a great yajna called Daswamedha at this place. For this, he brought 10,000 Brahmins from North India and got them settled in various localities later on.Preceding this event, Jajpur finds mention in ancient Indian mythology texts and the Puranic literatures alike where it is referred to as Viraja and Baitarini Tirtha, one of the most important tirthas of India.

Applications are hereby Invited from interested retired Government employees (who have retired from Government service on attaining the age of superannuation and below the age of sixty- five years having good service record and are physically fit) for re-engagement against the following vacant base level posts of different paramedical & Jr. Asst, posts under the establishment of the CDM&PHO, Jajpur under H&FW Deptt. for a period of two years or till regular posting of such base level posts, whichever is earlier.

Applicability
These guidelines shall apply to officers to be re-employed to such posts/services as may be decided by the Government from time to time.
Eligibility Conditions
(I) Officers who have retired from Government service on attaining the age of superannuation and below the age of sixty five years having good service records and are physically fit shall be eligible to be considered for re-employment.
(ii) Officers against whom departmental proceedings or criminal cases are contemplated/ pending or who have been penalized for misconduct during the period of preceding five years will not be eligible for consideration.
Selection Process
(i) Selection of persons will be made through open advertisement.
(If) There shall be a Selection Committee as may be decided by the appointing authority for the post/ posts required to be filled up by re-employment.
Consolidated Remuneration (per month) : Rs. 46,000/- pm
Application containing all details in the prescribed format, the interested retired Govt employees may address to the CDM & PHO, Jajpur, Odisha & the application should reach positively on or before 14.08.2023 (1.00PM) by speed post/Regd. post only. Applications received after due date and time will not taken into account for consideration.
