Career for PhD in Pharma, Life Sciences at NIPER, Salary Rs. 71,120 pm

NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specializations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialization in Medical Devices.

Post : Project Research Scientist -I (Non-Medical) in ICMR funded project

Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian nationals for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in ICMR funded project entitled “Investigating the role of Inosine in mitigating decreased innate immunity response in ischemic stroke following chronic kidney disease” on purely contractual basis tenable at Department of Pharmacology and toxicology, NIPER- Ahmedabad. Tenure of the position is will be co- terminus with the project.

Project Title : Investigating the role of Inosine in mitigating decreased innate immunity response in ischemic stroke following chronic kidney disease

Qualification
Essential Qualification : Project Research Scientist -I (Non-Medical) 01 (Biological Science, Unreserved) The candidate must have first class in post-graduate degree with Ph.D. in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biological sciences/Pharmacology and Toxicology. At least 2 publications as first author in journals of repute
Desirable Essential Qualification : Candidate should be familiar with MCAo stroke surgery and knowledge in neuroscience and stroke will be preferred. The candidate must also have experience in various techniques in molecular biology (Cell culture, rt-QPCR, Western-blot, Flow cytometry, RNA extraction, ELISA, Histological staining etc). Should have firsthand experience in small animal handling and surgery, a fair knowledge of molecular mechanism elucidation, statistical data analysis, etc.

Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (15,120/-) = Rs. 71, 120/- initial appointment will be for one year which may be further extended to two years subjected to the project duration and performance. The position will co-terminate with the project.
Age Limit : Not more than 35 years on the date 30-04-2024
