This Institute came into existence on 1st April,1976 when the India Centre of JALMA was officially handed over to the Govt. of India and subsequently to the Indian Council of Medical Research. This was named as Central JALMA Institute for Leprosy in 1976 and has been renamed as "National Jalma Institute of Leprosy and other Mycobacterial Diseases" in 2005 to reflect its broader research areas. This Institute was originally established as "India Centre of JALMA" in 1966 and was managed by a Tokyo based voluntary organisation -JALMA (Japanese Leprosy Mission for Asia). This Institute is one of the fine examples of international human links and compassion for each other.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Name : “Study of Serum and Dermal………Immunoth erapy(ICMR Funded)” PI. Dr. Rajkamal

Monthly consolidated salary : 25000 + 20% HRA
Essential qualification : M.Sc.with minimum 60% of marks (Botany/ Zoology, Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Science/M.Tech (Biotechnology) JRF with net lecturership
Maximum age as on :  28 Years

Research Associate
No. of post : 01 (ST)
Project Name : “ICAR-Outreach Programme on Zoonotic Diseases”

Monthly consolidated salary :  35000 + 20% HRA
Essential qualification : M.Sc. in relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree having minimum 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 2 years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagement as circulated vide F.No. 2- 9/2012-HRD dated 25-04-2014
Maximum age as on :  35 Years

Terms:
Positions are purely temporary. Appointment will be initially made for a period of Six months and may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate and the need of the project. However, the appointment can be terminated any time even before the end of the contract period due to performance and discipline related issues. The contract can be terminated prematurely giving one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu of the same from either side.

Selection procedure:
1. Depending on the number of applicants written test/interviews may be undertaken.
2. Please note that no complaints will be entertained if the candidate misses the dates for the interview.
3. NO SEPARATE CALL LETTERS WILL BE SENT TO HOMES OF APPLICANTS.
4. No candidate will be allowed to appear without having original documents.
5. A copy of valid photo address proof (Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card) must also be attached with the application along with original for verification.
6. Candidates claiming relaxation for SC/ST/OBC should submit copy of certificate.
7. Candidates claiming OBC benefit must bring valid certificate issued for Central Government departments.
8. Qualifications should be from recognized Institution/University.
9. Candidates having experience of working in ICMR projects will be preferred.
10. Candidates should bring the attached application form duly filled; photo pasted, along with attached copies of self signed educational qualification, experience, identity card.
11. All relevant original documents have to be produced at the time of verification of documents on the date of walk-in-Interview/ Written Test.
12. Age relaxation will be applied to the outstanding track record applicants and /or as per GOI Rules.

General Instructions:
1. Candidate must bring the attached application form filled, photo pasted and all document copy attached and signed on each page.
2. Candidate should write the name of Project on application form compulsorily.
3. These are contractual posts and as such they will not have any claim whatsoever for regularization in the ICMR; NJIL&OMD; and any other Government organization.
4. The mere fulfillment of requisite essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
5. During the project tenure as well as on its termination, the ICMR and/or the NJIL&OMD will have no legal liabilities relating of staff.
6. Performance will be assessed on a regular basis/frequent intervals.
7. Candidate will have to submit an affidavit at the time of joining that they will accept all the general instructions & terms and conditions related to the post.
8. No TA/DA will be paid neither for appearing in the written test/interview nor for joining the assignment.
9. The candidate place of posting can be changed at any time and to any place of work within the project and as per the need of the project anywhere within India.
10. Candidate should reach by 9:00 am on 7th April 2018 at NJIL&OMD, AGRA.
