Agra Public group of Education is the oldest and largest group of Agra which was established by Late Shri P.L Sharma in 1965 under the flagship of Agra Public Education Society named as Agra Public School in 10, Old Vijay Nagar, Agra. After that Late Dr. Shadhna Sharma and Late Shri D.R Chaturvedi developed four new units of school in Agra and established Agra Public Group of Institutions.  In the year 1999, Agra Public Institute of Tech. & Computer Education was started in a 05 acres campus at Artoni-Agra.

This Institute came into existence on 1st April,1976 when the India Centre of JALMA was officially handed over to the Govt. of India and subsequently to the Indian Council of Medical Research. This was named as Central JALMA Institute for Leprosy in 1976 and has been renamed as National Jalma Institute of Leprosy and other Mycobacterial Diseases in 2005 to reflect its broader research areas. This Institute was originally established as India Centre of JALMA in 1966 and was managed by a Tokyo based voluntary organisation -JALMA (Japanese Leprosy Mission for Asia).

ICMR- National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases is one of the prestigious research institutes working under the aegis of Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt, of India.

ICMR-NJIL&OMD intends to fill up various positions under the Technical Cadre.
