A Walk-in-Interview for filling up of following posts of the Viral Research Diagnostic Laboratory of Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat will be held at the office of the undersigned on 5th August, 2016 from 10:00 AM onwards. The posts are purely temporary and will be terminated on completion of the project. Intending candidate having requisite qualification may report to the Selection Committee along with duly filled application form (Enclosed), all original documents, 2 (two) nos. recent passport size photographs and a set of self-attested copies of certificates and other testimonials. Name & Duration of the Project Viral Research Diagnostic Lab., JMC, Jorhat Duration : 5 Years

RESEARCH SCIENTIST I (MEDICAL)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: MBBS / BDS / B.V.Sc. & AH recognized by MCI / DCI / VCI respectively. Or BDS/B.V.Sc degree with one year experience.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
i. MD in the Microbiology / M.V.Sc. (Microbiology) from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.
ii. Additional Post doctoral research / training experience in relevant subjects in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management
iv. Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.

REMUNERATION : Rs. 43,489/- per month (Fixed)

RESEARCH SCIENTIST I (NON - MEDICAL)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1st class Master’s degree in Microbiology / Life Sciences / Biotechnology from a recognized university Or 2nd class M. Sc. + Ph.D degree in relevant subject from a recognized university.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Additional Post doctoral research / training experience in relevant subjects in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s) / University.
ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management
iii.Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.

NOTES: Ph.D. degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

REMUNERATION : Rs. 33,306/- per month (Fixed)

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR : Post graduate degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / M.Pharm / Life Sciences.

REMUNERATION : Rs. 19,481/- per month (Fixed)

NOTES
1.Candidates with work experience in Virology Laboratory shall be given preference for all the above 3 (three) nos. posts.
2. Reservation - as per prevailing govt, norms.
