Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) provides an excellent opportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in basic and applied Life Sciences research. DIPAS endeavors in optimizing human performance under extreme operational environments using physiological, biochemical, nutritional and ergonomic approach. The labs are equipped with state-of-art facilities to conduct human studies, animal and in-vitro experimentation with an interdisciplinary approach. Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates to work in ongoing and future research projects of DIPAS for the following posts:
Post : Junior Research Fellows, Research Associate
JRF-01 - Junior Research Fellows: DRDO fellowship (02 Posts)
Essential Qualifications : a)Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences (Physiology/Biochemisty/Biomedical Sciences) in first division wherever division or equivalent grading is awarded with NET qualification Or Graduate degree in professional course (B.E/B.Tech) in first division with NET/GATE. Or Post graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech) in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
Desirable Qualifications : Preference will be given to those who have a working experience in the mentioned disciplines/areas.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for the above posts is maximum of 28 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications. 5 years relaxation to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per govt. rules.
JRF-02 - Junior Research Fellows: DRDO fellowship (04 Posts)
Essential Qualifications : a) Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences (Physiology/Biochemistr y/Biomedical Sciences) in first division wherever division or equivalent grading is awarded with NET qualification Or Graduate degree in professional course (B.E/B.Tech) in first division with NET/GATE. Or Post graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech) in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
b) CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST qualified with valid fellowship at the time of joining.
Desirable Qualifications : Preference will be given to those who have a working experience in the mentioned disciplines/areas.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for the above posts is maximum of 28 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications. 5 years relaxation to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per govt. rules.
RA -01 Research Associate (01)
Essential Qualifications : PhD in Life Sciences / Physiology
Desirable Qualifications : Practical knowledge of advances analytical techniques and instrumentation like GC-MS, IRMS, HPLC and working experience with animal and human tissues.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for the post is maximum of 35 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications. 5 years relaxation to SC/ST candidates, 3 years to OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per rules.

Eligible candidates may send their duly completed application as per format given in advertisement by e-mail hrddipas@gmail.com and appear for a Walk-in-interview at 1000 hrs on 19th July 2016 for JRFs and 21st July 2016 for RA at DIPAS, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi-110054.
- Please note that the candidates registered between 0900 to 1130 hrs on the mentioned dates against posts will only be considered for walk-in-interview.
- Venue for Interview: DIPAS, DRDO, Min. of Defence, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi-110054.
- The post advertised is for project work of the Institute, those who are medically fit and willing to work in adverse environmental conditions like High altitude, Desert etc. only may apply.

General Conditions:
1. Only those candidates who have been awarded degree/ provisional certificate are eligible to apply.
2. The offer of fellowship will under no circumstances confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO.
3. The candidate may be allowed to register for PhD with any university/Institution during the tenure of fellowship.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.
5. Candidates working in Govt/Public sector undertakings/Autonomous bodies should send their application through proper channel.
6. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
7. Candidates will be required to produce certificates/testimonials in original at the time of interview.
8. Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice.
