Vacancy for Junior Research Fellow to work in SERB-CRG funded project at CBMR

Centre of Bio-Medical Research (CBMR) is committed to build a world class research institute dedicated to disease-oriented-research and to translate discoveries and observations of the laboratory into new diagnosis and therapies for the benefit of humanity. Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to work in SERB-CRG funded project, details are given below

Project Title : Biocatalytic Method for the Asymmetric Synthesis of Pharmaceutically Important Substituted Benzodiazepines, Benzoxazepines and Benzothiazepines using Imine Reductases


Emoluments : Rs. 31,000/- per month for first two years and Rs. 35,000/- per month for third year 
Essential Qualifications : Post graduate degree (MSc) in Chemistry or equivalent degree in Chemistry selected through a process described through any one of the following : a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR- UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) or GATE. 
b. The Selection process through National level examiniations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Desirable : Experience Practical experience in organic synthesis. 
Age Limit : The upper age limit for applying for the JRF shall be 28 years, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates). 
Tenure : Till end of the project (December 2025).
