Pharmacy council of India has finalised that the exit exam of Diploma in pharmacy candidates will be implemented from 2022-2023 batch of D.Pharm course.

A notification published on Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) portal said, "Due to Voluntary Retirement taken by Smt. Archna Mudgal, Registrar-cum-Secretary, PCI, Shri Anil Mittal, Deputy Secretary will hold the charge of Registrar-cum-Secretary."

The state government has dissolved Odisha Pharmacy Council (OPC) and all the present council members have been debarred from attending any meetings of the council over alleged financial irregularities and improper management.

The decision to dissolve OPC was taken based on the recommendations submitted by the enquiry committee headed by the Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Government of Odisha. The Committee also recommended a fresh election.
