Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) was established in the year 1989 as an autonomous institute under the administrative control of Govt. of Odisha. In 2002, it was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the institute to the nation in July 2003.  Institute of Life Sciences has a broad vision of carrying out high-quality multidisciplinary research in the area of life sciences. The goal is for overall development and betterment of human health, longevity, agriculture and environment. The stated mission of the institution is to work towards upliftment of the human society and generate skilled human resources for future India.

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri conducts D. Pharm, B. Pharm. and M. Pharm Programmes which are affiliated to Biju Pattanaik University of Technology (BPUT). The courses are approved by all India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi which is the apex body controlling technical education in the country. At College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri D. Pharm and B. Pharm Programmes have the approval of Pharmacy Council of India. Recognition by these regulatory bodies bears testimony to the high standards of infrastructure and academic excellence prevailing in this college. The proximity of the college to many pharmaceutical Industiries in the Kolkata, Goa, Baddi, Hyderabad etc. helps students in training and placements.

Government of India has elevated the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela to a deemed university under the name of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.  The main objective of the Institute is to produce quality Engineers and Scientists in Graduate and Post-Graduate levels in various branches of Engineering and Science. The Institute is managed by the Board of Governors of National Institute of Technology (Rourkela) Society and vested with significant degree of administrative and financial autonomy. Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) is an Autonomous Institution under, Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It is one of the premier Institute of its kind in the Country and the main objectives of the Institute are Human Resource Development to undertake, sponsor or co-ordinate training of personnel such as Doctors, Engineers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Multipurpose Rehabilitation Therapists and such other personnel for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities. Institute conducts short term/long term courses in the field which are affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. The Institute has been setup to serve the differently abled persons to undertake any action in the area of rehabilitation of the Persons with Disabilities and is facilitated with 100 bedded hospital to treat the needy, poor and differently abled (Divyangjan) section of the society.

The Pharmacy Courses running at different campuses of Centurion University, Odisha aims at skill based education with a curriculum designed to prepare Diploma holders, graduates in Pharmacy for lifelong learning and leadership capabilities. These Schools looks forward in developing a disease free Nation by initiating an integrative module of academics and research.
