Raigad district has historical and geographical background. The district's north-south expansion is 170 kms. East-West expanses 70 kms. It's so much. Local Board was looking into the work for the work of rural areas before the introduction of Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat in Maharashtra.
