Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) is the implementing agency for Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

Post : Technical Consultant Pharma (Project Management) Grade -II

Pharma Bureau under Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India invites applications from eligible candidates on contract basis on the following post.

Essential Qualification : Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Business Studies (MBS) or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), from a recognised university/institute

Desirable Qualification : Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent in Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology Specialisation in Finance or Project Management in MBA/PGDM.

Age : Candidate should not exceed the age of 50 years on the date of the publishing of the advertisement on the Department's website

Experience Required : Work experience of eight years or more in the field of project management, research, industry promotion, finance or operations, in pharmaceuticals or life sciences related industry

Department : Pharma Bureau Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) Department of Pharmaceuticals Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Legal Status : The consultant will not be regarded for any purposes as an employee or official or representative of PMBI or the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Further, the relationship between PMBI and the consultant will not be one of an employer and employee, or of a principal and its agent.

Job Summary : The Technical Consultant (TC) will work as a Project Manager, driving implementation of key schemes including the Department's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes by effectively liaising between the Project Management Agencies, scheme participants, the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and the other Ministries/Departments of the Central Government and State Governments concerned.

Abilities : • Must have in-depth knowledge of the sector.
• Research and analytical aptitude, along with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Good knowledge and skill in word processing, spreadsheets and the use of presentation software.

Remuneration : Monthly remuneration of Rs. 1,45,000 to Rs. 2,65,000. The actual remuneration will be decided by the Selection Committee after consultation with the applicants considering her/his domain specialisation and experience in the relevant field. Candidates may be required to submit proof of income to substantiate emoluments in their current or last employment.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Work as a Project Manager, driving implementation of key schemes including the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes by effectively liaising between Project Management Agencies, scheme participants, the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and the other Ministries/Departments of the Central Government and State Governments concerned.
• The roles and responsibilities may include performing detailed technical and financial appraisals and overseeing the evaluation and monitoring of project performance in addition to budgeting, scrutinising fund disbursement proposals and ensuring optimal utilisation of allocated resources,
• Formulation and consultations for new scheme frameworks and associated documentation as and when tasked to do so.
• Providing comprehensive secretarial support, including by way of facilitation of meetings, stakeholder consultations, drafting strategic and other documents, and effective record-keeping.
• The Technical Consultant may also be called upon to carry out additional tasks from time to time.
