CSIR – Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is one of the premier research institutes of India which were envisioned by the National leaders much before the independence of our nation to drive and lead the technological independence. Dedicated in the service of nation on 17 February 1951, as a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, India, our Institute has evolved into a unique R&D organization possessing end-to-end expertise for fundamental chemical and biomedical research driven new drug discovery and development. Apart from the new drug development, the Institute is richly contributing to the advancement of our understanding of disease biology in the areas of national priorities, and set-off revolution of Indian pharma sector over the past 70 years.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) created as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and management is the first Institute of its kind in the country. The Institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. During the years 2007 and 2008, Government of India established six more NIPERs.

The Government of India through an Act of Parliament (as per notification dated 26th June, 1998) established the first National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in the country at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research, and development in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Management. During the years 2007 and 2008, the Government of India established six more NIPERs.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia College of Pharmacy, was established in 2017 with a view to impart the best in pharmacy education. Since inception, through its commitment to Excellence and to raise its standard of education, it has acquired a name for itself. CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, a unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier scientific organization involved in conducting high quality research in different areas of biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs using medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs).

Faculty of Pharmacy was established in the year 2019 having an impressive campus is dedicated to develop and nurture pharmaceutical education and research. The campus gives an aesthetic and pleasant look where it will be our endeavour to produce the best graduates in learner focused environment. The institute has well stocked library, modern laboratories, offering B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy courses to contribute more in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research.

Sakshi College of Pharmacy, Kanpur is recognized from from the both governing bodies, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and its D. Pharm & B. Pharm courses are affiliated to Board of Technical Education (BTE), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh & Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh respectively.

King George's Medical University, formerly Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, is a medical school located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
