The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) had been set up in 1992. NIB is an apex autonomous institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. The Institute is located at A-32, Sector-62, NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh in an area of 74,000 Sq. M. The Institute is performing primary statutory function of Quality Control of Biologicals e.g. Insulin, erythropoietin, blood products, diagnostic kits e.g. HIV, HBV, HCV, therapeutic monoclonal antibodies like Trastuzumab and Rituximab used in cancer treatment etc. in accordance with provisions of Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rule 1945 amended from time to time. The Immunodiagnostic kit Laboratory of the Institute is a WHO Collaborating Centre for Quality Control of HIV, HCV, HBsAg and Syphilis In-Vitro Diagnostic Assays and Support Cell for WHO Pre-Qualification Programme for In-Vitro Diagnostics.
Post : Consultant (Bioassay)

Application are invited for the post of Consultants (purely on contractual basis) for various Divisions/Department.

Post graduate degree in Life Sciences or equivalent with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
or
Ph.D in Life Sciences or equivalent with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities :
• Bioassay Consultant will independently develop and qualify biological methods (potency assays and other relevant bioassays) to both characterize and release of biologies (MAbs and other Therapeutic Recombinant Proteins).
• Essential hands-on experience and in- depth knowledge of state-of-the-art instrumentation and modern bioassay related analytical techniques (e.g., FACS, SPR, ligand binding assays, antigen binding assays, mechanism of action based functional assays, Fc receptor binding assays, ADCC, CDC, apoptosis etc.)
• Coordination with inter and intra¬laboratories material management, and other functions to ensure testing TAT
• Identify gaps, design collaborative solutions and implement laboratory improvements
• Preparation and review of SOPs, STPs, method development, method validation protocols, and test reports
• Monitoring performance of the analytical instruments in order to ensure regular analysis and regular calibration of instruments as per the SOPs
• Preparation of buffers, reagents and other requirements for day-to-day assay performance.
Remuneration Per Month : Rs.75,000/- + Conveyance Rs. 5000/-PM
