Nektar Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a pipeline of drug candidates that utilize its PEGylation and polymer conjugate technology platforms, which are designed to improve the benefits of drugs for patients. Its product pipeline consists of drug candidates across a number of therapeutic areas, including oncology, pain, anti-infectives, anti-viral and immunology. Nektar's research and development activities involve small molecule drugs, peptides and other potential biologic drug candidates.

CSIR – Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is one of the premier research institutes of India which were envisioned by the National leaders much before the independence of our nation to drive and lead the technological independence. Dedicated in the service of nation on 17 February 1951, as a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, India, our Institute has evolved into a unique R&D organization possessing end-to-end expertise for fundamental chemical and biomedical research driven new drug discovery and development. CSIR-IHBT is one of the 38 national laboratories of the Council of Scientific Industrial Research. It is located in the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar mountain range at an elevation of 1300 m amsl. The Institute has a focus to develop technologies for boosting bioeconomy through sustainable utilization of Himalayan bioresources for societal, industrial and environmental benefits.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) created as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and management is the first Institute of its kind in the country. The Institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. During the years 2007 and 2008, Government of India established six more NIPERs.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. JIPMER spreads over 192 acres.

The University of Hyderabad, a premier institution of post graduate teaching and research in the country, was established by an Act of Parliament on 2nd October, 1974 as a Central University, wholly financed by the University Grants Commission.

CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, a unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier scientific organization involved in conducting high quality research in different areas of biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs using medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs).
