The Chung research group focuses on drug delivery and gene therapy, nanomedicine, and biomaterials to generate strategies to address the limitations of clinical solutions. A major focus of our work is regarding rare and genetic diseases. In particular, we are interested in biomimetic nanoparticles that can be designed to cross biological barriers and deliver molecular signals to report back on or influence the behavior of diseased tissue.
