All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur is one among the four AIIMS announced during the budget speech 2014-15 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The Foundation stone for the institute was laid by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis at Sector 20, MIHAN on 14th April 2017. Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highway and Shipping (GoI), Shri Nitin Gadkari, and several other dignitaries graced the occasion.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has been nominated as the mentoring Institute for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt, of India.

AIIMS Patna was one amongst six hospitals along with Raipur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, and Rishikesh, in the country to improve healthcare facilities, provide quality medical education in super-specialty disciplines, and promote healthcare inclusion in underserved areas.  The institute was established under Ordinance dated July 16, 2012, the Act (Amendment) 2012 on July 2, 2013, and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill 2012 gave it a shape, and it was further supported as an autonomous body by All India Institute of Medical Scien

 AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education.

AIIMS Rishikesh has actively innovated in curricula and teaching methods thus aspiring towards international standards, for example, the inclusion of humanities course as an integral part of MBBS training is to bring about a humane physician. Soft skill training is an important attribute that is a part of all training courses at AIIMS Rishikesh. These activities are mentored by nearly 300 faculty members.

AIIMS Raipur is one of the SIX AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.
