Gujarat Biotechnology University is a new post graduate university established by the Gujarat Biotechnology University Act 2018. In a unique collaboration with world-leading University of Edinburgh, GBU will place excellence and innovation at its core to deliver biotechnology solutions for society’s needs. GBU invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (Antimicrobial Resistance Research Project) & JRF/Project Assistant (Biohydrogen Research Project). GBU aims to launch MSc by Research and PhD programmes from June 2022.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The NIOH is the premier institute, under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.  The need for research in Occupational Health in the country was first appreciated by Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA), the forerunner of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt. of India. ICAR-Directorate of Foot and Mouth Disease(FMD), the premier institute for FMD research in India, was established as an All India CoordinatedResearch Project (AICRP) for FMD in 1968. The Foot-and-Mouth Disease has been known to be widely prevalent in India even during early years of 19th century, work on the disease could not be initiated at the Imperial Bacteriological Laboratory (Indian Veterinary Research Institute), Mukteswar, in earlier years owing to paucity of infrastructure and scientific manpower etc.

NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specialisations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialisation in Medical Devices.
