Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat in association with Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has established a NIDHI-TBI (Technology Business Incubator) named ASHINE (Association for Harnessing Innovation and Entrepreneurship). IIT Ropar community has undertaken an important exercise of developing the Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan for the coming years. The exercise was carried out in active consultation with Indian Institute of Management Calcutta who have got technical expertise in this area. A participative bottom up approach was followed in formulating the Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan. Inputs from the entire IIT Ropar fraternity, MHRD, Board of Governors, Alumni and Industries were considered in the process.

The Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) is working in the area of biomedical and clinical research with reference to radiation, neurocognitive imaging and CBRN research. The main thrust areas of INMAS are the development of radioprotectors, development of diagnostics and therapeutic approaches using noninvasive imaging techniques, neurocognitive and endocrine functional assessment of human body.

Malabar Cancer Centre (Postgraduate Institute of Oncology Science & Research), Thalassery is an autonomous institution under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, established under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The institution is located at Kodiyeri, Thalassery of Kannur District and was established in 2001 and the clinical services were started in the same year.
