The Centre has taken up research on scientific validation of Herbal and Traditional Medicine, through studies in phytochemistry, efficacy, safety, mode of action and clinical evaluation of herb, its ingredients and traditional formulations, as the thrust area. NITM is also involved in studies on prevalence of various diseases at regional level, and lending active support to the State health authorities in investigation of outbreaks, laboratory confirmations, as well as providing infrastructural support and expertise in the relevant fields of interest. Furthermore, NITM Belagavi is serving as a nodal Centre for execution of various Task Force projects and Schemes of the ICMR and DHR.

Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad is a premier R&D Institute in India. The Institute had its origin as the Central Laboratories for Scientific & Industrial Research (CLSIR), established in 1944 by the then Government of Hyderabad State. After integration of Hyderabad State with the Indian Union, the laboratory expanded with its growing activities. The main building was formally opened by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India on January 2, 1954. In 1956, the Central Laboratories came under the aegis of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi and was renamed Regional Research Laboratory, Hyderabad (RRL-H).

IIT Bombay, set up by an Act of Parliament, was established in 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today the Institute is recognised as one of the centres of academic excellence in the country. Over the years, there has been dynamic progress at IIT Bombay in all academic and research activities, and a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure, to keep it on par with the best institutions in the world. Institutes in positions of excellence grow with time. Ayurveda is an ancient wellness and healing system that originated in the Indian subcontinent over 5,000 years ago. Its name is derived from two Sanskrit words, Ayur (life) and Veda (science) and it literally means ‘the science of life’.  Almora harnesses the knowledge of Ayurveda and combines it with modern science to create products that replenish body and spirit. We call this ‘Contemporary Ayurveda.’  The science and practice of Ayurveda are narrated in ancient texts, of which Charaka Samhita is the principal resource. This was written in the Indus Valley around 1500 BC in Sanskrit, by the great sage Charaka. Sage Charaka himself suggested that Ayurveda needed to evolve with time. He wanted Ayurveda to be an inclusive science that evolved and adapted by considering and adopting valid new information and discoveries.
