National Centre for Biological Sciences are a premier research institute with all the necessary facilities that a research scientist may need. Research interests of our faculty members lie in the frontier areas of biology, and the science at NCBS (a part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) uses experimental and computational approaches in the study of molecules, cells and organisms. We aim to understand biology at each of these levels to advance an integrated view of life processes.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) Hyderabad is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

The BITS, Pilani - K. K. Birla Goa Campus, is about 10 kms south of Vasco-da-Gama, 20 kms north of Margaon and 7 kms east of Goa Airport, along National Highway – 17B, Bypass road. The Department of Science and Technology (DST) is starting a new programme WISE Fellowship for Ph.D. (WISE-PhD) under Women in Science and Engineering-KIRAN (WISE-KIRAN) Scheme with aim to provide opportunity to carry out Ph.D. in Basic and Applied Sciences. The project proposals are invited under WISE-PhD programme from unemployed women who desire to pursue Ph.D. with this fellowship.
