Dattakala college of pharmacy has been established in 2014. The Dattakala Shikshan Sansthas has about 30 acres campus and is situated at Gat. No. 541 & 527 , Swami-Chincholi, Tal- Daund,Dist-Pune. This campus is near Bhigwan town and is connected by road (Pune-Solapur highway 100 km) and Rail (Bhigwan station 4 km). Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) is an autonomous, grant-in-aid research institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Goverment of India. It was established in 1946 by the Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science as MACS Research Institute and renamed as ARI in 1992 in honour and memory of its founder Director, late Professor S.P. Agharkar.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

CSIR-IHBT is one of the 38 national laboratories of the Council of Scientific Industrial Research. It is located in the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar mountain range at an elevation of 1300 m amsl. The Institute has a focus to develop technologies for boosting bioeconomy through sustainable utilization of Himalayan bioresources for societal, industrial and environmental benefits. The institute has successfully carried out mission-oriented projects on medicinal plants, aromatic plants, Himalayan floriculture, tea and selected crops of industrial significance. With a strong IPR portfolio based on cutting-edge science, the institute pursues research in diverse areas such as enzyme prospection for industrial development, bioreactor systems for production of high value bioactive molecules, health and nutraceuticals, prospection of biofuels and biopolymers, next generation sequencing of economically important plants including fungi /microbiome/algae, ethnobotany, bioresource surveys and mapping, natural colours dyes, and introduction of new crops for livelihood enhancement. The Institute has state-of-the-art facilities for food, fruit, vegetables, aromatic plants and tea processing, cell and tissue culture, aeroponics and hydroponics, free-air CO 2 temperature increase, remote sensing GIS, bioinformatics, nanobiology, virology, modern polyhouses, etc.
