Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee is among the foremost of institutes of national importance in higher technological education and in engineering, basic and applied research. NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Principal Project Associate and one Technical Assistant in the DBT Multi-institutional project entitled “Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate genomics-assisted crop improvement”, under mission programme of “Characterization of genetic resources”, under the supervision of Dr. Swarup K. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of Project Research Scientist-I to work on an ICMR-sponsored project entitled Investigations on the role of innate immune response in neuroprotective effects of synthetic and natural heterosteroids on Alzheimers disease pathogenesis and cognition. National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) Kalyani is an Institute of Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology. The Institute has created the necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation and training in biomedical genomics.

In concordance to the Governments plans to promote digital transformation and in a bid to facilitate delivery of patient centric services, AIIMS, Rishikesh initiated digital transformation. Taking a mini step towards it, online registration system portal was started in 2015. To add a step further, a giant leap was taken in 2017 when campus turned cashless with only digital payments being accepted from the patients, employees and students across various counters.
