World Pharmacists Day (SEPTEMBER 25, 2015)
The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapuramu Local Branch, with Head Office of Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER), celebrated the World Pharmacist Day on September 15, 2015 (Friday).
The celebration drew nearly 500 participants of pharmacy profession, including academicians, pharmacists practising in community and hospital settings, regulatory division, industrial pharmacists and students of all pharmacy institutes in Anantapur District. The World Pharmacists Day celebrations behalf of IPA Anantapuramu Local Branch, started with a rally covering the entire town of Anantapur district by 08.30 Hrs communicating the significance of Pharmacy profession to the public, followed by a pharmacy fraternity gathering at the IPA Anantapur Branch head office – Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research – RIPER by 10.30 Hrs chaired by Dr. Y. Padmanabha Reddy (President – IPA Anantapur branch), Dr. Mohanraj Rathinavelu (Hon. Secretary – IPA Anantapur branch), Shri. Katta Anand (President – Chemists & Druggists Association, Anantapur), Shri Ranga Reddy (Organizing Secretary – Chemists & Druggists Association, Anantapur), Dr. D. Hari Hara Theja (Drug Inspector - Anantapur) and LEC members of IPA Anantapur Branch, Mrs. Varalakshmi and Mr. Kishore Kumar Reddy, Dr. Hari Haranadha Sharma, Medical Superintendent, RDT Hospitals, Bathalapalli, was the chief guest of the function.
IPA Anantapur Branch first of its kind honoured the pharmacy professionals with the Best Pharmacists Award – 2015, in the divisions of community pharmacy, education, hospital pharmacy and regulatory.
