The JNU campus is a microcosm of the Indian nation, drawing students from every nook and corner of the country and from every group and stratum of society. To make sure that this is so, annual admission tests are simultaneously held at 37 centres spread across the length and breadth of the country, and special care is taken to draw students from the underprivileged castes and ethic groups by reserving 22.5 per cent of seats for them. Overseas students form some 10 percent of the annual intake. Students' hostels and blocks of faculty residences are interspersed with one another, underlining the vision of a large Indian family.
Applications are invited for the following purely temporary post (one) in the CSIR project entitled” Antiangiogenic effects and mechanisms of Acacetin- a potential role in cancer control”
Post: Junior Research Fellow (One post)
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences/biotechnology/biochemistry or related fields with NET (lectureship). Age limit is 28 years at the time of recruitment.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidate who has suitable work/training experience in the areas of cancer biology may be preferred. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The appointment may be curtailed or extended on the basis of the performance of the researcher.
Job Requirements: Candidate is required to do project-related work involving in vitro and in vivo studies.
The project is valid for a period of one year. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his service are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.
