The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. DBT-National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune is a premier Autonomous Institution established by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for Research, Development & Training. NCCS has been performing basic and fundamental research in the areas relevant to human health and diseases using appropriate cell based or small animal models.
