Applications are invited in the prescribed format for selection and filling up of one post of Director General, Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, a Central Autonomous Research Organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH in the Pay Band-4 of Rs. 37400 – 67000/- with Grade Pay Rs.10,000/- Plus NPA and other usual allowances as admissible as per Central Government Rules through selection method.

The Central Council for Research in Siddha, having its Headquarters in Chennai, is the newly established apex body in India bifurcating then Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha for formulation, co-ordination, drug standardization, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and functions under its direct control through the net work of 5 Institutes/Units situated in Tamil Nadu, Kerala State and Union Territory of Puducherry. This Department is looking for a dynamic bright researcher, who has achieved excellence and is dedicated to the cause of research in Siddha. The following are the requisite academic qualifications and experience:-

Eligibility:-
Officers of the Central / State Government /Autonomous Bodies /Research Institutions / Public Sector undertakings / Semi Government statutory or Autonomous Organisations funded by the Government with:
Essential Qualification:-
1. Post-Graduate Degree in Siddha included in the 2nd Schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
2. Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine.
3. 20 years experience in Research and/or Teaching in a Group A Level post having:
(i). A minimum of three years regular service in a post in Pay Band- 4 with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- or equivalent / corresponding pay scale as applicable to the post. (OR)
(ii). Eight years regular service in a post in Pay Band 3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- or equivalent / corresponding pay scales as applicable to the post.
4. Quality research work published in peer reviewed research journal.

Desirable:-
1. Administrative experience in the field of Siddha in Central/State Government / Autonomous bodies.
2. Ph.D qualification in Siddha.

Note:
(i) Professional experience means the experience obtained after enrolment in the Central Register of Indian Medicine / State Register of Indian Medicine.
(ii) Age not exceeding 56 Years as on the last date of submission of Application.

Method of recruitment:
1. Deputation/Short Term Contract for a tenure of 5 years or till the incumbent attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
2.
