Job Description:
1. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
* Understand new product/ project deliverables
* Carryout lab experiments to develop FORMULATION prototypes.
* Use available data base and vendor information effectively to access technology and apply in local development projects
* Generate product specifications in Interspec and ensure implementation.
* Conduct product stability studies in coordination with packaging team
* Facilitate information flow for Safety clearances
* Develop local technology options to deliver cost effective FORMULATIONs.
* Constantly evaluate competitor products and establish benchmark levels.
* Analyse consumer complaints and provide feedback to Quality assurance.
2. MANUFACTURING SUPPORT.
- Coordinate and conduct process trials at manufacturing units to establish scale-up of technology.
- Support manufacturing locations to standardise shades and collections.
- Engage with manufacturing units to improve processes and Quality.
- Coordinate with packaging and factory team to facilitate packing and filling trials.
- Generate FORMULATION specification documents and support factory for adaptation.
- Provide and support data to manufacturing units to get statutory clearances.
- Generate Control samples and provide to factory on regular basis.
3. FASHION COLLECTION / SHADE RANGE LAUNCH SUPPORT
- Work with brand team to identify trends and shades in various products for Theme launches and support Fashion collections.
- Develop shades as per references provided by brand team
- Prepare samples for Consumer testing and benchmarking studies
- Provide samples to agency to create advertorials
4. G.L.P AND RECORD KEEPING
- Understand and follow Unilever Safe practices applicable.
- Follow good lab practices as required by the work carried out.
- Maintain various ingredients of the lab in orderly manner for easy retrieval and use.
- Record all experiments in the Record book with clearly defining the experiment details and actions planned.
- Store and retrieve prototypes to continuously monitor performance
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the lab.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum Qualification: Graduate/ Post graduate in Chemistry/ Pharma/ Cosmetic technology
Work Experience: 4-5 years in FORMULATION Development in Personal care / Pharma industry
*Preference given to candidates from colour cosmetics sector
