Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL) is the first drug manufacturing company to be set up in the public sector by Government of India with active co-operation of WHO and UNICEF.
Set up on 10th March, 1954, HAL is the first drug manufacturing unit in India to undertake commercial production of antibiotics like Penicillin, Streptomycin, Gentamicin, Ampicillin & Amoxycillin etc. HAL has diversified in formulation activity and has facility to manufacture various dosage forms - injectables, capsules, tablets, large volume parentrals, liquid orals, etc. conforming to pharmacopoeial standards. HAL has also diversified into agro-vet products.

Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient running of the Process Plant, Formulation Plants and Bulk Plants for achieving production, productivity and cost targets. He will play a key role in upgrading technologies; improve process efficiencies and productivity of resources deployed, to make operations viable.
Candidate Profile:
He should be Graduate / Post graduate in Pharmacy / Chemical Engineering / Bio- Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology. He should have total experience of 15 years out of which 5 years should be in a senior managerial position in manufacturing in Pharmaceutical Industry. He should be thoroughly conversant with Food & Drugs Administration Act, Factory Management, Project Engineering and WHO/ GMP requirements.
Max. Age Limit: 50 years.
Scale: Rs. 17,500-400-22,300.
After regular absorption selected candidates will be required to execute a contract to serve the company for a minimum period of three years.
Pay Revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007 is due. Accordingly, the total emoluments for post at serial no. 1 and 2 will be approximately to the tune of Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 41,000 respectively. In addition to Basic Pay, IDA, the company offers LTC, CPF, Gratuity, conveyance, accommodation in colony, reimbursement of medical expenses, school facility for children in colony. Higher start could be given to exceptionally deserving candidates.
