The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Applications are invited for the positions in a DBT-funded research project entitled “DBT-UMMID initiative based framework to strengthen healthcare for Genetic Disorders in Moga, an Aspirational District of Punjab and to establish Training Centre on Clinical Genetics at PGIMER, Chandigarh” (Duration : Upto 3 years)
Manager / Project Officer - 1 post
Qualification : Essential : Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry / Public Health / Human Genetics / Hematology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology along with a minimum 5 years of experience in research projects involving population screening, and inherited disorders. Person will be responsible for the overall management of the project and will be directly reporting to the PI & Co-PIs. Staff also be responsible for overall data compilation & management.
Project Associate II - 1 post
Qualification : Essential : Masters in Public Health Postgraduate staff is required in the field & Hospital in District Moga, Punjab for managing antenatal women screening & newborn screening. Person will also be responsible for coordinating the laboratory tests at Moga and PGIMER, Chandigarh. Person will be stationed in Moga, Punjab.
Emolument (Monthly) : As per S&T- Manpower-Norms DST/DBT rules
Terms and Conditions :
1. The post is purely temporary. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion/termination of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on PGIMER Chandigarh or Principal Investigator or funding agency.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be informed to the candidate by E-mail/SMS.
3. Any other mode for submission of the application mentioned above will not be considered/accepted.
