Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech) is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers.

Senior Project Associate (Senior PAT) = 02
Essential Qualification : (i) Masters / Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc / Animal Sciences Or
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent And
3 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services Or
(ii) Masters / Integrated masters in Engineering or technology from a recognized University Or
Doctoral Degree in Science / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable : Experience in organic synthesis and/or medicinal chemistry research.
Upper Age limit (years) : 40
Monthly Emoluments : (i) Rs. 42,000/- +HRA
Project Associate-I (PAT-I) = 02
Essential Qualification : Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent Desirable: Experience in organic synthesis and/or medicinal chemistry research.
Upper Age limit (years) - 35
Monthly Emoluments : (i) Rs. 31,000/- +HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR- UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE or those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
