The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Project Associate-I (Junior Research Assistant) (01 Post)
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification: (i) M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry/Zoology/Mocecular Biology/Cell Biology/or equivalent/B.Tech. in Biomedical Sciences or Biotechnology with 60% marks in graduation and post-graduation. (ii) Domicile of Uttar Pradesh
Desirable Qualification : 01 year working experience in research laboratory in relevant area.
Job description : Animal Handling, Molecular and Biochemical techniques.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs. 25,000 (Fixed/Consolidated) per Month.
Upper Age Limit : 28 years as on 01.04.2024
Project No. and title of the Project : GAP-455 Mechanistic investigation of collagen remodelling in the tumor microenvioron ment: Impact on membrane dynamics in NSCLC Progression.
Project Assistant-II (01 Post)
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification Bachelor in Computer Sciences.
Desirable Qualification : Knowledge of Ms- Office(word, Excel, Power point), Python, Java.
Job description : To assist in the data collation and analysis.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 20,000/- + HRA

Project Associate-II (01 Post)
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification Master Degree in Biotechnology Life Sciences from a recognized University or Equivalent and 2 years experience in Reserach and Development in Industrial and Scademic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and servies.
Desirable Qualification : The preference will be given to personnel with research/working experience with in viro toxicology using cell lines/primary culutres of humanand animal origin, etc.
Job description : To carry out the in vitro toxicity studies under the regulatory framework.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : Rs.35,000/-+ 18% HRA (of fellowship) per month (Clause No.1: If a candidate is qualified for CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Department and them Agencies and Institutions) Rs.28,000/-+ 18% HRA (of fellowship) per month (For candidate who do not fall under Clause No.1)

Senior Project Associate
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Chemistry or life sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering or technology or Medical or life science from a recognized university or equivalent & Four Years experience in research and Development in Industrial/academic / institutions / scientific activities and services OR Doctoral Degree in science/engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
Job description : Experience in technology development in Environmental sector and industrial projects.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 42,000/- + HRA

Project Associate II PAT-II (01 post)
Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification: (i) Master Degree in environmental science/chemistry or equivalent + 2 years experience in same area.
Job description : Environmental Pollution monitoring & stack emission monitoring sample collection, sample processing analytical analysis and drafting reports.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 28,000/- + HRA.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-481 “Monitoring of environmental parameters at Meja Thermal Power Project.”

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions
1. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
2. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
3. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
