The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (instem.res.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. DBT-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at DBT-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory. DBT-inStem shares a campus and research facilities with the Bangalore Life Sciences Cluster (BLiSC).
Post : Project Scientist -III
DBT-inStem invites applications (in online mode) from eligible candidates for contractual position of two Project Scientists under a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Essential Qualification : (i) Doctoral Degree in Science from a recognised university or equivalent in stem cell biology, developmental biology, pharmacology, and / or maternal or child health.
(ii) Seven years experience in R&D in industrial or academic institutions or science and technology organisations.
Job Description :
• Responsible for carrying out as well as supervising laboratory work such as culture, all steps of quality control and differentiation of human stem cells and organoids as per prescribed protocols.
• Preparation of Microscopy samples, imaging and application of computational methods for image analysis
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, ethical considerations and employs them in the course of all work. Organization and maintenance of the laboratory workspace, clean rooms and equipments.
• Regular data analysis, project updates, literature survey, and presentation of data
• Prepare professional reports, presentations, and lab records
• Participate in project team meetings and contribute to the projects intellectually
Tenure : Contractual appointment for one year, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
