National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi and Bioversity International-India, New Delhi in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Association for Agricultural Research Insti-tutes Bangkok, are organizing the Eighth International Training Course on In Vitro and Cryopreservation Approaches for Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources’ from Nov. 5-19, 2019.

Applications are invited to attend "Interview (virtual/in-person)" for the project Associate (2 No) and Scientific administrative assistant/ field worker (1 No) positions under the DBT funded project “Mapping and mobilization of leaf rust resistance genes from Indian landraces to broaden the genetic base for improvement of wheat varieties” at ICAR- NBPGR, New Delhi.

Project name : Mapping and mobilization of leaf rust resistance genes from Indian landraces to broaden the genetic base for improvement of wheat varieties (The post is sanctioned up to 30th July, 2028.)
Place : Division of Genomic Resources, Room number G206, NBPGR New building, New Delhi
Emoluments per month : i. Rs 31000 + 24 % HRA for those who are selected through a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lecturer ship or GATE or b) National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and departments ii. Rs 25000+27 % HRA for others who do not fall under i) above
Qualifications : Essential qualification : Master's Degree in Science with specialization in Biotechnology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding / Molecular Biology / life sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics tools and techniques as proven by published research papers.
Upper age limit : 35 years
Age relaxation : Age limits are relaxable to women for 5 years, SC/ST (5 yeas), OBC (3 years), Physically Challenged (10 years) as per Government of India rules/ICAR rules.
Terms and Conditions
• The candidate shall be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational performance and/or relevant research experience. Only shortlisted candidates shall be informed about the screening results via email and shall be invited for online or in-person interviews in Delhi. The candidates are advised to regularly check their emails for updates.
• Candidates having essential qualifications will only be considered for interview.
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidates have no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR. The appointment may be terminated at any time without giving any notice or assigning any reason thereof even before completion of the project, for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc in original along with an application with full bio-data enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from matriculation
• The selected candidate will be required to produce medical certificate at the time of joining.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.
