NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.
Post : Project Associate - II
(i) DBT funded project entitled “Genomics assisted pathobiology to identify novel targets for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention(s) of Japanese encephalitis and Leptospirosis”. PI: Dr. Ravi Gandham, Co-PIs- Dr. Subeer S. Majumdar, Dr. Syed M. Faisal, Dr. Pankaj Suman.
Eligibility: Master’s Degree in Life Science or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services as per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 35000/-PM +24% HRA (if applicable) as per the DST guidelines.
Experience: Candidate with experience in Genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics along with wet lab experience in cell culture, virus titration etc., will be preferred.
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
