Multiple Vacancies in Regional Medical Research Centre

Regional Medical Research Centre, NE, Dibrugarh is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was established on 12th day of July in the year 1982. It covers the most remote and less developed eight states of the north-eastern region of India and is responsible for carrying out Biomedical Research in the region and runs with intramural grant from ICMR and extramural adhoc projects from different funding agencies.

Interested and eligible candidates may walk-in for interview/written test/online interview for the following temporary post under various extramural projects implemented by ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, Assam.

Scientist B (Non Medical): 1 (one) Post (Unreserved)
Essential Qualification : 1st Class Masters Degree in Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics / Biochemistry from a recognized university until 2 (two) years of research experience in relevant field Or 2nd Class Masters Degree in Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Bioinlormatics/ Biochemistry with PhD Degree in relevant subject from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: i) Additional Post doctoral research / training experience in the field of health research and molecular biology (ii) Knowledge of computer applications.
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Salary : Rs. 48,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated)

Senior Research Fellow-1 post (Unreserved)
Essential Qualification: Masters Degree Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry with 2 (two) years relevant experience Desirable Qualifications :
i. Experience in the field of Health research
ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications / Data Management and data analysis.
Age : Not exceeding 35 years
Salary : Rs. 28.000/- + HRA per month (consolidated)

Project Technical Officer 1 post (Unreserved)
Essential Qualification : Graduate in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Medical Social Work/ Sociology/ Anthropology from a recognized university with 5 (five) years work experience from a recognized institution. Or Masters degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Microbiology / Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry / Medical Social Work/ Sociology / Anthropology from a recognized university
Desirable Qualification : (i) Additional research experience in the field of Health research (ii) Knowledge of computer applications.

Research Assistant: 1 Tone) post (Unreserved)
Essential Qualification: Graduate in Life Sciences / Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology from a recognized university with 3 (three) years work experience from a recognized institution. Or Masters degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Microbiology from recognized University
Desirable Qualification :
(i) Additional research experience in the field of Health research and molecular biology
(ii) Knowledge of computer applications.

Salary : Rs. 3 1.000/- per month (consolidated)

COVID-19 Preventive Measure
Candidates will be allowed to attend the interview and entry will be permissible inside the ICMR-RMRC, N.E Region Campus only after preliminary temperature screening at the entrance gate in staggered manner. Wearing of mask is mandatory and candidates should maintain social distancing norms.

1. Walk-in for interview/online interview will be conducted for the eligible candidates. ' However, if more number of candidates found eligible for the aforesaid posts, written test may also be conducted in batches.
2. Candidates who seek to appear for online interview may e-mail their application in the prescribed format along with the scanned copies of their marksheets and testimonials in advance positively by 20th September 2020, to the address iemrrcdiufnic.in. The date and time of the interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates via email,

4. All Candidates will have to apply in the prescribed application form which can be downloaded from the website rmrcne.org.in.
5. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Retrenched Govt. Employees. Departmental Candidates (including projects) and Ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt, from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
6. Candidates applying under EWS and OBC category must provide certificate .
7. Candidates should come with up-to-date bio-data. 2 copies of recent passport size coloured photograph, and self attested photocopies of certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, caste and experience along with the original documents. 8. The applicants must provide a valid Email ID and Contact Number.
9. Candidates must reach the Center and register themselves before 10.00 AM. No candidates will be allowed to enter after 10.00 AM.
10. The candidate will have to stay and work in any other places of North East India wherever posted/transferred in connection with the scheme/project work as deemed necessary.
11. No TA/DA etc. will be provided for attending the interview.
12. The decision of ICMR. New Delhi and ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre. N. E. Region. Dibrugarh. will be final in all regard. Canvassing in any form or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall liable for disqualification.
