The Central University of Punjab, has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). Central University has completed a remarkable journey of 12 years. University is accredited ‘A’ grade in 2016 in first accreditation cycle by NAAC and has secured 95th, 87th and 84th rank in the year 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively in the University category of NIRF. It is credited with highest per capita research funding. Applications in prescribed format are invited for following project position for short term basis.
Title of the Project : To Investigate the Role of Endocannabinoids in Gut-Brain Axis and Differential Role of Cannabinoid Receptors in the Development of Metabolic Dysfunction
Funding Agency : ICMR, New Delhi Project
Duration : 3 years
Emoluments : Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (9%) per month as per ICMR norms
Term of engagement : Initially for a period of 6 months, further extendable up to 3 years and/or co-terminus with the Research Project based on satisfactory work & conduct of the project.
Essential Qualification : B.Pharmacy or B. Sc. and Master degree [M.Pharm / M.S. (Pharm) or M. Sc. in Molecular Biology] with minimum of 60% marks [55% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD] from a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in stereotaxic surgery and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.

Terms and Conditions
1. The above mentioned post(s) is/are purely temporary for limited period or duration of Research Project funded by the funding agency.
2. Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for interaction cum interview through email.
3. Applicants shall be required to show the original documents at the time of interaction cum interview and/or joining
4. No T.A/D.A. or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interaction cum interview.
5. The University reserves the right to withdraw this advertisement or increase/decrease the number of posts at any time without assigning any reason.
6. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the vacancies. The decision of Competent Authority of the university in this regard shall be final.
7. Suppression of factual information, supply of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of his /her candidature. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future even after engagement that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualification, experience etc. which could not be detected at the time of Test/Interaction cum Interview due to whatever circumstances, his/her engagement shall be liable to be terminated forthwith as per this clause and also based on his/her undertaking
8. The rules and regulations of CUPB and funding agency will be applicable to the selected candidates.
